Client Event Participation Agreement

Thank you for your continued engagement with StreetWise Partners! To uphold our commitment to a high standard of excellence for all participants including volunteers, mentees, and alumni. We ask that all Clients review and adhere to the following Event Participation Agreement.
Definitions
For the purposes of this Agreement:
“StreetWise Partners” refers to StreetWise Partners, Inc., including its staff, volunteers, and affiliated entities
“Clients” refers to individuals who are current or former participants (mentees and alumni) of the StreetWise Partners’ program(s)
“Volunteers” refers to individuals providing mentorship, support, or services to StreetWise Partners in a non-client role
“Events” refers to all StreetWise Partners-sponsored workshops, networking sessions, career development programs, or other engagements that Clients may attend
“Agreement” refers to this Client Event Participation Agreement and all related guidelines set forth herein
1. Client Expectations
StreetWise Partners is committed to creating a professional and respectful environment for all participants. To support this standard, Clients are expected to:
Be Punctual: Arrive on time for all activities and events to which they have committed. Timeliness demonstrates respect for the time and contributions of fellow participants, volunteers, and staff
Notify in Case of Emergency Absence: In the event of an emergency that prevents attendance, Clients must notify the appropriate parties (including the lead volunteer and StreetWise Partners staff member) as soon as possible, and ideally at least 24 hours in advance of the event
Dress Professionally: Unless otherwise specified, Clients should wear business smart attire to all StreetWise Partners events. Examples of prohibited attire include jeans, sneakers, and overly casual clothing. Event-specific dress codes will be communicated in advance if different
Acknowledgement: By registering to the event and agreeing to these terms, you confirm that you have read, understood, and agree to uphold the expectations outlined above. You understand that failure to comply with these expectations may result in your removal from the event and being restricted from registering for future events.
2. Client Code of Conduct
As a condition of participating in StreetWise Partners events and programming, Clients (mentees and alumni) agree to uphold the highest standards of professionalism, respect, and ethical conduct. The following policies are mandatory and apply throughout all StreetWise Partners-sponsored engagements, including in-person, virtual, and off-site events.
2.1 Prohibited Conduct
Clients must not engage in any of the following behaviors:
Discrimination: Any discriminatory speech, behavior, or conduct based on race, color, national origin, gender identity or expression, sexual orientation, religion, age, disability, or any other protected status under applicable law
Harassment: Any form of sexual harassment, sexual misconduct, or assault
Unlawful or Inappropriate Activity: This includes, but is not limited to:
Use, possession, or distribution of illegal drugs or controlled substances
Bullying, intimidation, or verbal abuse
Use of suggestive, lewd, or inappropriate language or gestures
Posting or sharing inappropriate content via social media, chat platforms, or other communication channels directed toward mentors, mentees, alumni, volunteers, or StreetWise Partners staff
Romantic or sexual relationships between Clients and StreetWise Partners employees, volunteers, or mentors during the period of engagement. This includes any attempts to initiate such relationships. Any behavior that may reasonably be perceived as romantic, suggestive, or inappropriate may result in potential exclusion from future programming or events.
2.2 Non-Endorsement of Personal Beliefs
Clients may not use their participation in StreetWise Partners events or programs to promote or endorse:
Partisan political causes or candidates
Religious ideologies or proselytizing
Personal or commercial affiliations unrelated to the program’s mission
2.3 Professionalism and Respect
Mentees are expected to treat all individuals within the program - staff, mentors, volunteers, and peers - with dignity, courtesy, and professionalism. Consistent and respectful communication is essential to the integrity and success of the program.
2.4 Engagement Outside the Program
StreetWise Partners encourages organic professional relationships that may extend beyond the program. Examples include informational interviews, LinkedIn connections, or coffee chats.
However, Clients should be aware that:
These engagements occur outside the scope of StreetWise Partners programming
StreetWise Partners bears no responsibility or liability for communications or conduct occurring in those contexts
Participants seeking continued engagement within the structured framework of the program may request coordination through StreetWise Partners staff
2.5 Confidentiality
Clients must maintain the confidentiality of any personal, sensitive, or proprietary information shared by fellow participants, volunteers, or staff during the course of program events or communications.
Acknowledgement: By registering for the event and agreeing to these terms, you acknowledge that you have read, understand, and agree to comply with the policies outlined above. You understand that failure to comply with these expectations may result in your removal from the event and being restricted from registering for future events.
3. Client Dismissal Policy
StreetWise Partners reserves the right to reassign, restrict, or dismiss any Client from participating in program events, activities, or future engagements when such action is deemed to be in the best interest of the Client, the volunteer community, and/or the StreetWise Partners organization. Dismissal decisions are made at the discretion of StreetWise Partners staff and may occur with or without prior warning. Grounds for dismissal include, but are not limited to:
Cancelling more than three (3) program-related activity or event commitments without valid notice - refer to Client Event Attendance Policy
Repeated or excessive lateness to scheduled events or activities - refer to Client Event Attendance Policy
Involvement in illegal, unethical, or inappropriate conduct
Failure to comply with the Client Expectation, Code of Conduct or any other StreetWise Partners policy
Any behavior that StreetWise Partners determines, in its sole discretion, to be detrimental to the safety, professionalism, or mission of the program
StreetWise Partners will make every effort to address concerns with fairness, professionalism, and confidentiality. However, the organization retains full discretion to make final decisions regarding continued participation.
Acknowledgement: By registering for the event and agreeing to these terms, you acknowledge that you have read, understand, and agree to comply with the policies outlined above. You understand that failure to comply with these expectations may result in your removal from the event and being restricted from registering for future events.
3. Photography and Media Release
By participating in the StreetWise Partners program, you grant StreetWise Partners, Inc. (“StreetWise Partners”) permission to use your photographic or video image in connection with program-related promotional and informational materials.
3.1 Scope of Use
You consent to the use of your image, voice, and/or likeness as captured in photographs, video recordings, or digital media, whether in full or in part, for the purposes of:
Public display
Distribution via print and electronic formats
Inclusion in marketing, fundraising, educational, or informational materials
Editing, cropping, or otherwise modifying the media in a manner that does not materially misrepresent or disparage your appearance or statements
These materials may be used across any media platform, including but not limited to: StreetWise Partners’ website, social media, newsletters, printed materials, and presentations
3.2 Waiver of Rights
You understand and agree that:
You will not receive monetary compensation for the use of such images or recordings
You waive any right to inspect or approve the finished media product, including written copy or other printed or digital materials that may accompany the media
You release StreetWise Partners and its agents, assignees, or designees from any and all claims, demands, and liabilities in connection with the use of your image, voice, or likeness as described herein, provided such use does not misrepresent you or violate the editing limitations noted above
3.3 Duration and Revocation
This release is perpetual and irrevocable. However, if you have concerns or wish to discuss limitations to your participation in photography or video documentation, you may contact the StreetWise Partners.
Acknowledgement: By registering to the event and agreeing to these terms, you confirm that you have read, understood, and voluntarily accept the conditions of the Photography and Media Release.
