SWP runs its core job-readiness programs twice a year for adults aging between 26- 55 years old.In each cycle we typically serve between 50-80 clients and 100 - 160 mentors. The core training sessions, developed with help from volunteer HR professionals, include computer skills instructions (MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and periodic skills assessments, as well as goal setting, resume and cover letter writing, interview preparation, developing an “elevator pitch, informational interviews, workplace etiquette, and public speaking.
StreetWise Partners runs its job-readiness and life skills program three times a year for youth participants aging between 18 – 25 years old. In each cycle we reach out to 15 - 20 young individuals and over 30 volunteer working professionals.Mentors will work with motivated low-income young adults who are looking to gain skills in computers (MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint), resume and cover letter writing, elevator pitch, interviewing, career planning and appropriate office etiquette.
