TRANSFORM SOMEONE’S LIFE! StreetWise Partners leverages the experiences of a diverse network of business professionals and corporate partners to equip trainees with the skills, confidence and strategies needed to get on a path to economic self-sufficiency. As a StreetWise Partners volunteer, you have the opportunity to use the skills and know-how that you already have to truly transform a person’s life. Partner with us to make a difference while building your own professional network and developing critical leadership, management, and coaching skills! Volunteer with StreetWise Partners as a Career Mentor or as a One-Time Volunteer. As a career mentor, you volunteer to participate for an entire 13-session Career Ventures program at one of our program sites. You will work with a co-mentor to guide one trainee through our well-structured professional development and job-skills training curriculum. As a mentor, you will help your trainee develop hard and soft job skills; assess career goals and map a career plan; and support them in expanding their professional network and implementing their career plan. The Career Ventures runs annually in the spring (March – June) and fall (September – December). StreetWise Partners offers multiple one-time event volunteer opportunities throughout the Career Ventures program each Spring and Fall. By participating in these events, you will be adding to the critical knowledge and expertise that our low-income trainees need to develop their professional skills and advance in their careers.
