StreetWise Partners and RBC Capital Markets bring together leading figures at Christie’s to promote better job opportunities for the poor

Bringing together a prominent network of individuals from Wall Street, RBC Capital Markets will host an auction at Christie’s in New York City on March 24, 2008 to benefit StreetWise Partners, the New York-based non-profit organization that engages thousands of young professionals to mentor low-income job seekers to build skills for work and access employment networks in the global economy.

Listed as one of Jim Cramer’s “Charity Picks”, more than 600 guests are expected to attend the benefit auction this evening. Held amid a Christie’s showing of exclusive 20th-century decorative art and design, the live auction will feature one-of-a-kind experiences, including six days of youth basketball coaching by Michael Jordan, an exotic car tour, a David Beckham meet-and-greet and VIP box seats in Los Angeles, and StreetWise Partners memorabilia.

Funds raised throughout the evening will support StreetWise Partners’ core job readiness and mentoring programs, which link volunteer business professionals from leading corporations with the unemployed and working poor. Volunteers help to empower people to overcome their employment barriers, attain quality jobs, and achieve economic self-sufficiency.
